A collage and acrylic mural that reflects the activity on a summer day at Main and Hastings, in Vancouver.

Started as a single panel piece, with the walking figure on the left, the piece evolved organically in my studio to become several interconnected panels, a 'tableaux' of city energy. The characters are a cross section  drawn from street in 1979. The collage includes scraps of newspaper, cigarette packages, wall paper, plaster and other found objects. This was the first of my portable murals, and also one of my most known public mural works. The piece has been on loan to Carnegie Centre ( Vancouver) since 1980, where it can be seen in the first floor lounge.
