Creativity in a time of isolation

During the past months, in the maelstrom of this time and this epidemic,  I have taken the relative solitude as a leverage on explorations in the studio, in particular referencing existing drawings and series that previously had only scarcely been touched on. Something about the way imposed isolation allows for free-ranging associations, but i have discovered different approaches and compositional devices that have been interesting and are leading me somewhere. It is a balance between intent and improvisation, a sort of duality that is always in play.
