Painting
My immediate environment provides me with the starting point for my paintings and prints. Sourced directly on location, either in my urban environment, on the west coast or while traveling, I improvise on observed reality, frequently reworking in the studio from field notes and sketches, I employ a range of materials, striving for a balance of abstraction and figuration.
